MOORESVILLE – Mooresville is among the latest towns profiled on “Today in America,” a syndicated show hosted by NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw.

The TV show posted a nearly 4-minute, 39-second segment about Mooresville. Bradshaw described traits that make the town unique, such as its population growth, recreational activities and its reputation as Race City USA.

The segment focuses a lot on the town's business climate.

Robert Carney, executive director for the Mooresville-South Iredell Economic Development Corporation, talked about the town’s advanced manufacturing initiatives. While Sam Mishler, director of Niagara Bottling’s Mooresville plant, explained why the company chose to build a factory in town.

The video also features Mayor Miles Atkins and Mark Edwards, superintendent of the Mooresville Graded School District. Edwards explained how the Digital Conversion has added energy into classrooms.

“Today in America” airs this month at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays on WAXN-TV 64 Eyewitness News and 4 p.m. Sundays on FOX Business Network.
