MOORESVILLE – The Mooresville Police Department has arrested a woman accused of fatally stabbing a man during an apparent domestic dispute.

Dawn Bridget Kavanaugh, 42, was arrested on murder charges.

Police responded to 110 Red Arrow Place at 6:03 p.m. Feb. 10 to find a man suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and transferred to Carolinas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
