MOORESVILLE – Police are investigating the circumstances resulting in a resident shooting someone who entered an apartment. Police say the case was related to a domestic dispute.

Police received a report of a breaking and entering around 8 a.m. Feb. 10 at 119-16 Colonial Ridge Circle.

The suspect was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and transferred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
