SACRAMENTO – Silvano Alves built on his lead of Mooresville bull riders Shane Proctor and J.B. Mauney with a third-place finish Feb. 1-2 at the Sacramento Invitational.
Alves sits atop the Professional Bull Riders standings with 2,723 points, followed by Proctor with 2,232 and J.B. Mauney with 2,148.
Guilherme Marchi won the Sacramento Invitational.
Mauney finished fifth. He rode Whirlwind and Poison Control before getting bucked off RMEF Bugle II.
Proctor placed seventh. He rode Money Blue and Buckmaster before getting thrown off Wipeout.
Proctor has collected more than $68,020 in winnings. Mauney has earned $35,727.
The next event, Liftmaster Invitational, takes place Feb. 8-10 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
