MOORESVILLE – Norma Jane Twineham Hoffman, 82, died Jan. 9, 2014, at Genesis Eldercare.

She was born June 23, 1931, in Jefferson County, Ind., to the late Dale and Mary James Twineham.

Survivors include his sons, John and wife, Connie, and Paul and wife, Carla; daughters, Sandra Parker and husband, Paul, and Lisa Ritchie and husband, Kyle.

Funeral services will be private.

Ruby Crouch Morrow

MOORESVILLE – Ruby Crouch Morrow, 86, died Jan. 8, 2014, at Genesis Eldercare.

She was born Feb. 7, 1927, in Mooresville, to the late Marshall and Margaret Westmoreland Crouch.

Morrow retired as an accountant for Belk Department Store after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Morrow Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Ken Morrow Jr. and wife, Judy, and Marshall Morrow; daughters, Margaret Baker and husband, Jeffrey, and Becky Ervin and husband, Shawn; sisters, Jerry Stephens and Francis Jackson; brother, Marshall Crouch Jr. and wife, Rosie; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at First Baptist Church.

George Frank Marcy

MOORESVILLE – George Frank Marcy, 82, died Jan. 7, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Queens, N.Y., to the late George and Dorothy Bergstrum Marcy.

Marcy was a retired iron worker for Local 580.

Survivors include his wife, Claire Todaro Marcy; sons, Eric and wife, Marion, and Stephen and wife, Heidi; daughter, Susan Bauerle and husband, Bruce; sister, Barbara Olson; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 10 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Phoebe Goode Blowe

MOORESVILLE – Phoebe Goode Blowe, 44, died Jan. 5, 2014, at her home.

She was born May 22, 1969, in Statesville, to Betty Greenwalt Goode and the late Dr. T.V. Goode III.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Maryanne Goode.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas C. Blowe; sons, Galen, Ian and Owen Blowe; sister, Judy Goode; and brothers, Chuck Goode and Vance Goode IV.

No services will be held at this time.

Mary Ruth Carpenter Mayhew

MOORESVILLE – Mary Ruth Carpenter Mayhew, 83, died Jan. 3, 2014, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Huntersville, to the late William and Ruth Miller Carpenter.

Mayhew was a retired registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mayhew; one sister; and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Bost and husband, Bobby; sons, Donald and John Mayhew; sisters, Sylvia Mills and husband, Mickey, and Rachel Orbison and husband, Jerry; brother, Keith Carpenter and wife, Peggy; six grandchildren; and four-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at Centenary United Methodist Church.

Stephen Reid Morgan Jr.

MOORESVILLE – Stephen Reid Morgan Jr., 34, died Jan. 1, 2014, at his home.

He was born May 28, 1979, in Iredell County, to Kimberly Beaver Little and the late Stephen Reid Morgan.

Morgan worked as a plumber for CNT Plumbing in Huntersville.

Survivors include his parents, Kimberly and Ronny Thomas Little; wife, Selina McGhee Morgan; daughters, Stephanie Morgan, Hannah Morgan and Kaylie Luther; son, Avery Luther; brothers, Jamie Morgan and wife, Keesha, and David Little; and sister, Jessica Morgan and husband, Dusty.

Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at Grace Covenant Church.
